Tony Yazbeck, a 2015 Tony nominee for Broadway's On the Town, first appeared on Broadway as a newsboy in the 1989 revival of Gypsy. It wasn't until snagging the role of Al in the 2006 revival of A Chorus Line, however, that Yazbeck had the big break that launched his career. Fortunately for all of us, at that first Chorus Line audition, Yazbeck narrowly avoided a very different kind of "big break."
