Beyond Broadway: "February House"
For a brief period in the 1940s, eccentric book editor George Davis rented a dilapidated boarding house at 7 Middagh Street in Brooklyn Heights. The house became home to a motley crew of artists, including Carson McCullers, W. H. Auden, Benjamin Britten and Gypsy Rose Lee.
