By: David Sheward The Public Theater is currently presenting two productions about journeys, one a well-intentioned, but familiar musical tracing a mother-daughter road trip, the other an innovative and startlingly scary voyage documenting the cruelty of the ivory trade. Both have professional and talented guides but only one takes us to new places.
