The Gateway Playhouse rises again in Somers Point

After 12 years of disuse, the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point, N.J., will reopen on Aug. 19, with a gala performance by singer Andrea McArdle, the original Annie on Broadway. The resurrection of the Gateway is a story of the Local Nonprofit That Could, local grassroots fund-raising, and a love of regional theater down the shore.
