'Titanic' rises in Vista
Broadway doubters never thought "Titanic: The Musical" would get launched, let alone stay afloat. But launch it did in 1997, running two years and nabbing five Tony Awards before it closed at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, followed by a national tour. Since then, regional stagings have been rare. Steve Glaudini, artistic director of Vista's Moonlight Stage Productions, cites two reasons why.
