TheatreWorks Silicon Valley is prefacing its New Works Festival with a contemporary retelling of Aristophanes' 'The Birds.' Like last year's festival lead-in, a reimagining of 'Lysistrata,' the play will be written and performed by a cast whose age might normally prevent them from tackling its mature themes.
