Jim Dykes Recently the news was full of reports of another note in a bottle from the early 20th century, which washed up on some beach and was discovered by an awestruck passerby… it's something conjured up by Hollywood screenwriters.  But interestingly enough, I recently discovered a 202 year-old letter in an ancient book… right here on the bookshelf in my New York City apartment.  Surely no one had opened…
