Stage review: 'Sound of Music' tour returns to theatrical roots for a fresh take by Sharon Eberson / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

It's a mystery in an era when Broadway is awash with musical theater revivals that "The Sound of Music" has had only one short-lived remounting there since Mary Martin first belted "The hills are alive …" in 1959.
