True Story of Holocaust Survivor Inspires Rock and Roll Refugee Musical by Olivia Clement

Based on the real life of rock-and-roll pioneer and Holocaust survivor Genya Ravan, the new musical Rock and Roll Refugee continues to play through Feb. 14 Off-Broadway. The show follows her journey from escaping Poland to the Lower East Side, where she headed the all-female rock band Goldie and The Gingerbreads.
