Stage preview: City Theatre premiere 'Some Brighter Distance' explores the race to the Moon. by Sharon Eberson / Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Playwright Keith Reddin was commissioned by the Sloan Foundation four years ago to author a work that intersects science with the arts. One topic he considered was "a play about sex research, like the Kinseys." Then he recalled a footnote about rocket scientist Arthur Rudolph, who helped engineer America's first moon landing " and who was then deported as a Nazi war criminal.
