Will It Be The Wiz or The Music Man? NBC Eyes Two Musicals for Next Year's Live Event by Adam Hetrick

NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt revealed that the network is considering two Tony-winning musicals for live broadcast next holiday season: The Broadway classic The Music Man and the gospel-driven crowd-pleaser The Wiz.
