Scott Rudin, George C. Wolfe & More to Bring New Performance Spaces to Proposed NYC Offshore Park?
According to the New York Times, the proposal for the 170 million park, which would be built on a multilevel platform 186 feet off the shoreline of the Hudson River, includes 'a series of wooded nooks and three performance venues, including an amphitheater.' The park, which would be called Pier 55, would replace Pier 54, a flat 875-foot structure that has been gradually sinking into the river.
