A Drama Inspired by a Chokehold---20 Years Ago

'Code of Silence,' opening Aug. 20 at the Theatre at St. Clement's, seems ripped from the headlines, but had its debut in 1998, inspired by a 1994 case in which Anthony Baez died of asphyxiation after a struggle with Officer Frank Livoti.
