Denver dance legend Cleo Parker Robinson, Maya Angelou had long ties
Cleo Parker Robinson, the founder and executive artistic director of Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, met Maya Angelou in 1981 when the two created "Lush Life," a jazz, poetry and dance collaboration that debuted at the Arvada Center in 1983 with Angelou a part of the cast.
