Tony-Winning Deaf Actress Phyllis Frelich Dies
Tony winner Phyllis Frelich has died. According to Silentgrapevine.com, the deaf actress, who was born to deaf parents and was the oldest of 9 deaf children, was 70 years old. Frelich won the 1980 Best Actress Tony for her work in the Tony-winning Children of a Lesser God. Her screen credits include CSI, ER, Diagnosis Murder, Love is Never Silent, Bridge to Silence and Sweet Nothing in My Ear.
