Theater review: 'Beautiful Thing' loses some of its effect with time

What a difference two decades make. In 1993, Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing seemed like a fairy tale of two gay teens finding love and acceptance in the violent, addiction-plagued public housing of London's working-class suburbs.
