"Welcome to 28 Barbary Lane": Tales of the City Musical Premieres in San Francisco May 18 by Adam Hetrick

Armistead Maupin's novel series Tales of the City, about the eccentric inhabitants of the enchanting San Francisco residence of 28 Barbary Lane, comes to life as a new musical beginning May 18 at the American Conservatory Theatre. Avenue Q Tony Award winner Jeff Whitty and Scissor Sisters band members Jake Shears and John Garden penned the stage adaptation.
