Double Time, Musical About a Forgotten African-American Star, Gets Alabama Reading; James T. Lane Stars by Kenneth Jones

Double Time, a new musical about a young white playwright trying to create a new musical comedy about the life of Alabama native Leonard Harper, an African-American Broadway star, will be heard in a concert reading May 14 as part of Alabama Shakespeare Festival's Southern Writers' Project Festival of New Plays, which runs May 13-15. James T. Lane, of Broadway's The Scottsboro Boys, plays Harper.
