Midsummer (a play with songs)

This is a crackerjack production. The text is fresh and crisp and the cast, Cora Bissett (Helena) and Matthew Pidgeon (Bob), is nothing short of sublime.And then there is the story. Not a story, really. Sort of an ode. The text is often poetry and the music is not the kind that you will leave the theatre humming. These are songs that seem to line the jugular vein of this story.
