On December 3, 2012, The Public Theater and PEN American Center presented a Public Forum program about imprisoned writers and artists. THOUGHT IS FREE: An Evening of Protest and Solidarity offered readings by writers who are in jail for speaking truth to power, and concluded with this authors' conversation between Salman Rushdie and Nathan Englander. The evening was hosted by Liev Schreiber.
