Carrie Underwood to be Maria von Trapp in 'Sound of Music' special
Carrie Underwood can add landing the lead in "The Sound of Music" to the list of of her favorite things. The Season four "American Idol" winner will star as Maria von Trapp in a live TV broadcast of the beloved musical next year, producers announced on Friday.
