Theater review: 'Disgraced'
Pakistani-American author Ayad Akhtar follows his acclaimed novel "American Dervish" with "Disgraced," an intense and intelligent but inherently flawed drama. Spanning six months beginning in the summer of 2011, the play focuses on Amir (Aasif Mandvi), a first-generation Pakistani-American attorney at a Jewish law firm who lives upper East Side chic and wears $600 dress shirts.
