Letter: TV casting shows benefit our industry by The Stage

Both Mark Shenton and Joanna Page raise valid points about the reality TV casting process (Casting doubt on TV talent shows, August 16, page 6; Page against the machine, August 16, page 20), such as the former's rather diplomatic comment about Chris Moyles being cast as Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. However, I find myself in conflict with the majority of their views.
