Chinglish Makes West Coast Premiere at Berkeley Rep Prior to Hong Kong; Broadway Cast's Vivian Chiu and Larry Lei Zhang Featured by Kenneth Jones

The West Coast premiere of David Henry Hwang's comedy of cultural misunderstandings, Chinglish, directed by Leigh Silverman, who helmed the Broadway staging, begins Aug. 24 in Berkeley, CA, in a co-production by Berkeley Repertory Theatre and South Coast Repertory. The staging reunites the earlier design team and several members of the Broadway troupe.
