Review: 'Blue Iris' at South African festival is a Fugard triumph by Jason Kehe

GRAHAMSTOWN, South Africa — It’s not that people aren’t excited over Athol Fugard’s latest play, "The Blue Iris," making its world premiere here at South Africa’s National Arts Festival. After all, Fugard remains, at 80, this country’s brightest-shining theatrical star, having occasionally rivaled Shakespeare as one of the most performed playwrights in the world.
