Anna Karenina, London Coliseum by Sarah Frater

London Coliseum: Tolstoy's Anna Karenina (1873-77) is a giant of Russian literature that choreographer-director Boris Eifman has turned into a ballet. The novel tracks the romantic complications of its three protagonists, and in this respect it's a good subject for dance whose pas de deux and pas de trois are well placed to convey the complex emotions love triangles involve.
