Theatre by the Lake, Keswick: Director Ian Forrest has, thankfully, approached Bennett's unwieldy commentary on sixth-form life in a northern grammar school with a light touch. He is well-served by the casting of a polished group of young actors playing the eight boisterous boys being coached to take Oxbridge entrance examinations.
