John Rando to direct 'Christmas Story'
Tony Award-winner John Rando will be directing "A Christmas Story, The Musical!" at the Chicago Theatre when the show, based on the writings of Jean Shepherd and the classic 1983 film, opens a two-week holiday run Dec. 14-30. Rando's credits include "Urinetown" and "The Wedding Singer." Warren Carlyle, originally slated to direct, was forced to bow out due to a scheduling conflict, but will stay on as choreographer. …
