'Wicked' trades 'Oz' whimsy for technical wizardry by Karen D'Souza

Dorothy isn't the only one who thinks there's no place like home. About an hour into "Wicked," in its world premiere at San Francisco's Curran Theatre, this reviewer started to yearn for a pair of ruby slippers.
