Terkel pieces too thin to command the stage by Howard Kissel
Fifty years ago, if you saw the title "American Dreams: Lost and Found" on a marquee, you would have expected an inspirational evening. Nowadays, you know just as certainly that such a title announces an evening of people whining about the failure of the American Dream, as do many of the people in this adaptation by Peter Frisch of a 1999 book of interviews by Chicago author Studs Terkel.
