Gotham Theater Irate About Football Gridlock

NEW YORK (Variety) - Not everyone in New York is ready for some football. The National Football League kickoff bash scheduled for Sept. 5 in Times Square could tackle Broadway theaters, some producers say.<br /> According to one source, the football blowout is such an impending disaster for midtown theaters that the NFL has offered to buy $250,000 worth of tickets as compensation.
