Honoring a Master of Melodies
Though only an hour long, "The Sweetest Sounds -- A Centennial Celebration of the Music of Richard Rodgers," presented at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage on Monday evening, was overflowing with untarnished melodies. Reminders of the late composer's genius, to borrow a line from "Carousel," were bustin' out all over.
