Isn't it romantic? By David Cote (****)

For all the strengths that make the first Broadway revival of <em>A Little Night Music</em> commendable, I find myself dwelling on the dark side of New York's sorry-grateful relationship with the greatest American composer-lyricist of the past 40 years.
