Developed by Parallel Exit, a troupe specializing in physical comedy, "Cut to the Chase" mixes would-be rowdy pantomime punctuated by laughter and screams with a varied assortment of comic musical numbers. It adds up to some 70 minutes of innocuous frivolity without ever seeming inspired or provoking anything like memorable hilarity.
