The Boy Friend, reviewed by Marc Miller

Wilson's mocking of the period's conventions is so light and deft that it plays very nearly like the real thing. The stock characters, tortured song cues, and pastry of a plot need firm but gentle stylization to pay full dividends. And such stylization is what's missing in Musicals Tonight!'s well-intentioned, well-behaved concert staging.
