"Maccabeat!," billed as a rock musical -- the story of Hanukah with a "Hebrew hottie" in the lead -- is clearly forgettable, never living up to its promise as a Biblical spoof. Based on the Maccabean revolt against Greek rule, "Maccabeat!" trivializes that Biblical tale.
