Yes, it's easy enough to see that the new stage musical <cite>Young Frankenstein</cite> is every which way brilliant: characters, jokes, songs, scenery, costumes, lighting, acting, dancing, wigs and puppetry. But let's not be so dazzled by the surface brilliance of <cite>Young Frankenstein</cite> as to overlook its DEEPER MEANING -- to wit: recycling need not be merely dull and virtuous.
