A virtuoso take on disharmony By Howard Shapiro
What was a finely timed ensemble piece in its original staging is even richer and more lyrical at Primary Stages. Both Hollinger's play and Nolen's take on it have evolved: A new scene grounds Opus more solidly, a cut scene allows it to move more quickly, and Jorge Cousineau's impressive sound design is a pumped-up version of his original, weaving scenes even more tightly.
