Years ago, Chicago's young Congo Square Theatre put the young Chadwick Boseman's work on stage by Chris Jones

His play, "Deep Azure," involved an African-American police officer who panicked and shot a student. It was staged by Congo Square in 2005, with Boseman at the opening.
