Audible launches Channels service to become 'HBO for audio'
Amazon's Audible -- a go-to destination for what used to be called 'books on tape' -- has launched the Channels app for smartphones, and it has started production on 40 shows, most with six to 10 episodes each. A membership runs $4.95 a month.
