When it comes to "Taboo," Rosie O'Donnell has put her money where her mouth is. The former talk-show diva is the producer and sole investor in the $10 million Boy George musical, opening on Broadway Nov. 13.
"I always think: Go big or go home," O'Donnell said Wednesday during a news conference at a Times Square Internet cafe to kick off Web site ticket sales for the production, which begins preview performances Oct. 24 at the Plymouth Theatre.

PBS Film Tackles Hollywood Blacklist Era by BOB THOMAS, Associated Press Writer

Now the U.S. PBS public television service is offering the two-hour "American Masters" documentary "Arthur Miller, Elia Kazan and the Blacklist: None Without Sin," airing Wednesday in the United States.
By coincidence, the following night marks the opening on a New York stage of "Trumbo," with Nathan Lane reading from the letters of Oscar-winning screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, a principal figure in the beginnings of the blacklist.

Lane is committed to star in a revival at Boston's Huntington Theatre of "Butley," Simon Gray's play about a literary professor at loose ends. "Butley," according to the Huntington's Web site and its promotional material, is scheduled to play there from Jan. 2 through Feb. 1, 2004.
Yet Nicholas Martin, Huntington's artistic director, reached Wednesday in Boston, said, "I can't say anymore than that he (Lane) will do `Butley' here."
