"Annie," through Jan. 7 at the Walnut Theatre, has been a perennial favorite since it debuted on Broadway in 1977 - but the Walnut production is slow and awkward. The adult actors and singers give it some lift as the musical goes along, but all in all, "Annie" disappoints.
