Fall Arts Preview: Change is in the wind for theaters
The coming of autumn heralds changes at the top at Pittsburgh Public Theater and City Theatre. Both 43-year-old companies open their 2017-18 seasons as farewells to outgoing, longtime leaders: Ted Pappas announced he was exiting the Public at the end of this season after 18 years in charge, and Tracy Brigden left City suddenly in June, after 16 years as artistic director.
