Few things are as quintessentially Christmas as "The Nutcracker." In 1816, E.T.A. Hoffmann penned the beloved tale of a young girl's favorite toy coming to life and whisking her away on a fantastical adventure. Since then, it's spawned hundreds of adaptations for screen, stage and even ice skates, each with its own clever twist on the holiday classic.
