There's enough love gone wrong and life gone haywire and family gone around the bend in Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" to fill several novels, or (alternatively) a single country song. The musical adaptation that just opened at the Old Globe manages to pare all that down to a more manageable level of exquisitely well-mannered misery, and embroider it with wit and plenty of worthy songs.
