A gigantic tent at Alameda Point is more than a sign a circus is in town. It's a sign that creators of creative and unusual theatrical balls, dinner theater and other events have made the Island their new home. In the wake of Vau de Vire Society's displacement from San Francisco's Mission District because of development and high costs, the company has found a place in Alameda to perform.
