Sent onstage with those famous words, "You're going out there a youngster, but you've got to come back a star!," the upstart Peggy Sawyer gets her big Broadway break in what might be the ultimate "backstage" musical. San Diego directing ace James Vásquez takes the reins for SDMT's revival of the 1980 Tony Award winner, with Ashley Ruth Jones (as the irrepressible Peggy) leading a cast that's 30-strong.
