The Old Globe's just-announced 2016-17 season may boast two world premieres and the return of a huge entertainment name who's becoming something like the theater's unofficial resident playwright. But artistic chief Barry Edelstein says the Globe, which sold 225,000 tickets last year, still must program with enough additional variety to please just about that many individual theatrical tastes.
