First, there's that voice. If you watched national talk shows of the 1960s, you may have been aware of Truman Capote as the writer of the seminal work of creative nonfiction, "In Cold Blood," or the stylish love story "Breakfast at Tiffany's." But surely that slow, high-pitched drawl is what comes first to mind.
