As San Diego Rep celebrates its 40th birthday this year, it's revisiting a work that looms large in the life story of the theater, which has long since become one of the region's biggest and most influential. The play is "R. Buckminster Fuller: The History (and Mystery) of the Universe," and it was developed from the ground up at the Rep, premiering in the company's downtown Lyceum Space 16 years ago this month.
